A former kingdom in Northern Spain, this region is rich in folklore and is home to the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula where you may enjoy skiing or hiking in abundance.

Zaragoza hosts some of the best Mudejar art as well as the Aljaferia Castle and the Cathedral of La Seo.
Jaca is the gateway to the Pyrenees and as you would expect is a popular ski resort.

The region has a population of over 1,200,000, with over 800,000 residing in Zaragoza.

Food……

Those with a sweet tooth should try the local nougat or mostillo which is a biscuit made from grape juice. One of Spain’s key events is the 12th Nuestra Senora del Pilar in Zaragoza every October
