Formentera is the smallest and most southerly of the Balearic Islands, being only 25k long. It is unspoilt partly due to the fact that there is not an airport on the Island. Getting here is by ferry from Ibiza, which has frequent flights in and out.
The setting is peace and tranquillity and it is a great place for dreaming and relaxing, leaving all your worries behind. A very green Island, it has beautiful sandy beaches and a backdrop of Pine woods. Some of its best beaches are Platija de Migjorn on the South coast, which has fine sand dunes, Es Pujols, which is a resort area and Cala Saona.
Watersports are a speciality, satifying the more active holidaymaker and if you would like to mix quiet days with a lively nightlife, you can hop across to Ibiza, easily, on the ferry.
